During the week, Bekah works as a Cetacean Field Research Specialist at The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA. In addition to daily research efforts, Bekah also manages the Cetacean Conservation Biology team’s internship program and organizes associated trips. Bekah is simultaneously completing her M.S. at San Francisco State University, studying ship strike risk to humpback whales in San Francisco Bay. Bekah has worked on various vessels in the Bay Area as a whale watch naturalist and loves to share her passion for karaoke and marine wildlife with strangers!
