Steve Barclay has spent much of the past 30+ years working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in marine national monuments of the tropical Pacific as a wildlife refuge manager. He has led Oceanic Society expeditions in Belize, Honduras, Palau, Galápagos, Bahamas, Midway Atoll, Monterey Bay, and Greenland. Steve holds a B.S. in field biology, and B.A. in environmental studies from The Evergreen State College.
