May Roberts is a PhD candidate in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at UC Santa Cruz.  She has been studying and exploring coral reefs across the Indo-Pacific and Red Sea since she first set eyes on them while working on a sailboat in Fiji more than 10 years ago. Since then, she has also taught college field courses across California, led culture and science based youth programs in Micronesia, and led whale shark and coral reef ecotourism trips in the Red Sea. She loves to travel, read, and do all sorts of crafts and is excited to hear your travel stories, book recommendations, and craft tips!
